A parent has asked for a recommended reading list for Level 1 Extended Texts.
There are many texts that are suitable - it depends on the range of texts being read. Classics such as “Lordc of the Flies”, “Animal Farm”,”A Separate Peace” and NZ texts such as “Water in the Blood” or “I am Esther” are all great choices.
Librarians can also recommend good modern texts. Hope this helps.
