Calculus formulae query

In some past school topic tests and previous national exams, I’ve seen formulae like A=πr^2 being expected to be known. Just wondering if there are other similar ones that would be useful to know for the standard? Thank you.

Kia ora and welcome to the StudyIt forums @claudia28

Often when you are solving optimisation problems it is expected that you know the basic area formula. If it is a more complex shape it would be given to you. I would suggest that you know rectangle, triangle and circle formula. It wouldn’t hurt to brush up on the other shapes too because often the NZQA papers throw in something different for an Excellence question!
